Overview
This travel assignment is for a Sonographer / Ultrasound Tech specializing in pediatric echocardiography. Located in Burlington, Vermont, this position begins on 09/07/2026 for a 13-week contract in a hospital setting. The shift is rotating 3x12, with a weekly pay range of $2,479 to $2,523. The role requires on-call weekend coverage and work in pediatric imaging within critical care areas, including NICU/PICU, with the expectation to arrive within 30 minutes of call when housing is arranged.

Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive pediatric echocardiography exams, including neonatal and pediatric patients, with high-quality imaging and documentation in the electronic medical record (EPIC).
- Use independent scanning and, when appropriate, provide interpretation support for pediatric cardiology team; communicate results clearly to the care team.
- Apply advanced knowledge of complex congenital heart disease, cardiac surgical repairs, and pediatric cardiac anatomy during imaging and patient assessment.
- Maintain equipment, adhere to safety and infection control standards, and ensure patient and family-centered care in diverse clinical settings (including NICU and PICU).
- Participate in on-call coverage as scheduled, including specific weekend hours: Saturday 8am-10pm, Sunday 8am-10pm, and Monday 5pm-5am.

Requirements
- ARDMS or CCI credential in pediatric echocardiography (RDCS-PE or RCS-PE) required.
- Minimum of 3 years of independent pediatric echocardiography experience.
- Experience with fetal echocardiography preferred.
- Strong knowledge of complex congenital heart disease, pediatric cardiac anatomy, and post-surgical anatomy.
- Ability to perform scanning independently in critical care areas (Neonatal ICU, Pediatric ICU).
- EPIC experience within the past 2 years is required.
- AHA BLS certification and EKG recognition required.
- Licensure/registration requirements per state regulations; must meet Vermont requirements for ultrasound practice.
